Trade Show Report: Modex 2022

MODEX 2022 Review If you are active in warehouse automation and material handling, Modex [website] (and its sister show, ProMAT) is the main trade show. Modex 2022 did not disappoint and was super busy with around 800 exhibitors. The Atlanta Georgia World Congress Center did not have huge Modex banners on the outside notifying everyone of where to go and what is happening. Modex 2022 Most Talked About: Opex Infinity

Modex 2022 Most Talked About: Opex Infinity

Modex - "Most Talked About" Prize STIQ's "Most Talked About" at Modex prize went to Opex for their new Infinity system. Our principal consultant received more inquiries "What do you think of Opex Infinity" than for any other exhibitor, system, etc. and hence took the top slot in the "Most Talked About" category at the 2022 Modex show. Robotics Networking Event, March 23rd by STIQ & TLA Robotics

This event was hosted by Shoosmiths in their very nice and central London offices, not more than 100metres from St. Pauls Cathedral. About 70 of 100 registered attendees showed up on the night which was an excellent result considering various remaining Covid issues. Unfortunately this meant one of the presenting companies had to pull out (Q-bot). The audience was treated to seven presentations from high quality robotics companies: Botsandus, Ross Robotics, Sky Drones, Opteran, e-Nano,...

Trade Show Report: Retail Supply Chain + Logistics

This was the first time we visited the Retail Supply Chain + Logistics Expo (we think) and were pleasantly surprised to find this a very busy event. Whilst there were a few empty stands, there were definitely plenty of visitors. We talked to a few people in the stands and they appeared to be happy by the number of visitors (we visited around lunch...

Both THL and Softbank have invested heavily in the warehouse automation and robotics space for some time, most recently with their combined deal bringing AutoStore to public markets in 2021. Softbank also sold Boston Dynamics and listed Berkshire Grey via a SPAC deal in 2021 whilst THL invested in Fortna and other US system integrators. e-Commerce is the common thread The common thread among the...
