A review of Noah Conference London, Oct 30-31, 2018. A list of retail technology companies looking for funding. Some of which may be looking at an IPO in 2019 (Farfetch presented at the conference in 2017 and IPO'd in 2018!).

Styleintelligence view: (down from 5 in 2017) eCommerce Expo is one of the largest ecommerce events in the UK attracting a very large audience over the two days to Olympia. The reason we have downgraded this show is due to the simple fact it has shrunk dramatically. Top vendors such as SAP, Manhattan Associates and many other big brands have disappeared from the layout. While this may be good for small to medium sized vendors it also show a certain trend for these larger ex-exhibitors to run their own events where they can spend more and control who is visiting...

Connected World Summit & AI Tech World Sep 25, 2018 Styleintelligence's view:  AI is merging into sector specific vendors Luckily the weather was great and the five minute stroll from Canada Water (Jubilee Line) station was enjoyable. Poor signage was due to quite a lot of building work going on. The show itself was a bit disappointing with very few exhibitors. The biggest attraction appeared to be the cafe unfortunately... If you are into 3D this will be for you! Our recent visit to VR World Expo 2018 yielded little to talk about, possibly as a result of the limited amount of exhibitors. There were gaming applications, engineering and medical applications with haptic feedback robotics, etc. While many of these applications have advanced a lot over the past few years and now offer global teamwork options in a virtual space, etc. new retail applications have been far a wide between. Definitely worth visiting!  Retail Without Borders 2018 #RWB18 is one of the better conferences for its networking opportunities. It is not one of the largest conferences, neither the best quality speakers (most often co-sponsors), but if you are looking to talking and networking with your peers this is definitely worth a visit. The fact the conference is held in the QE2 centre just opposite Houses of Parliament add is a bonus and very easy access.
